Inspired by Hella Jongerius ’Red White Vase’(1997), the original vessel becomes the designer’s muse — an empty canvas and a lifelong oeuvre. Evolving the archive that continually carries the promise of new beginnings. Bridging craftsmanship and industrial production, it later unfolded into the 300 Vases project, a series of experiments with mineral glazes, and into ongoing research on color, including the upholstery fabric ‘Vases’ (2012) for Maharam.
The latest vase takes the form of this scarf, carrying the story forward as part of the living oeuvre.
