"Confetti" (Maharam, 2013) and "Colourwheel" (Maharam, 2012) continues Hella Jongerius exploration of Colour, material, and narrative in textile form. Drawing on motifs from her archive and elements of earlier work into new contexts. "Confetti" explores scattered dot motifs creating rhythm and movement across the surface. "Colourwheel" reveals her method of structuring Colour, used as a research model in the Vitra Colour; Material Library.
Together in one design, they extend the living archive, giving familiar techniques and patterns a new beginning.
